Southern New Mexico Human Development, Inc.
(SNMHD) is a private,
non-profit comprehensive mental health organization which provides high
quality mental health care to the Doña Ana community and surrounding
area.
Southern New Mexico human Development, Inc. has a volunteer board of
directors made up of area residents who set policy and program
direction for the center.
Southern New Mexico Human Development,
Inc.
promotes good mental health by caring for those
suffering from
mental illness and/or alcohol/ substance abuse and by providing the
community with preventive and educational services to increase public
awareness of mental health and substance
abuse issues.
Southern New Mexico Human Development,
Inc. maintains the philosophy that comprehensive mental health
services should be available for any person regardless of ability to
pay. Therefore, Southern New Mexico Human Development, Inc. maintains a
sliding fee scale and fees are determined on an individual's ability to
pay. SNMHD accepts Medicaid and other state insurance carriers.
Southern New Mexico Human Development, Inc. has a professional staff
that includes experienced psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers,
consultants and other staff who provide a full range of counseling,
educational and clinical services.

follows federal and state regulations regarding confidentiality of
client information in order to ensure the rights of privacy for all
clients.
